StudyWorld, International Education and juggling life as a new mother - here's the S&A Interview with Jodie Gray, Chief Executive at English UK

As StudyWorld Spring 2023 came to a close yesterday afternoon, one of the very last meetings we had there was with Jodie Gray, Chief Executive at English UK with who we spoke of various topics.

Apart from discussing this year's event, which is also the first face-to-face StudyWorld since the pandemic, we delved into other topics such as how British schools are dealing with the post-pandemic era, and how English UK has managed to make it through thanks to the support of everyone within the international education industry.

Jodie Gray is certainly not a new face to the industry. In fact, she has been a part of English UK since 2007 and has held various roles at the organisation before landing the top spot in 2020. As she described it, heading English UK right as COVID-19 hit was for her "a baptism of fire", but despite it all, here we are. Face-to-face once again.

Although the face-to-face event had clearly been missed, and delegates were overjoyed to see each other again, in some cases after more than two years, English UK will be retaining the online version of the workshop too. In fact, in September StudyWorld will be held online. In Jodie's words, "this will give schools the chance to explore new markets or connect with new agents in a more cost-effective way."

Chief Executive at English UK is not the only big role that Jodie has. Indeed, she has recently become a new mother to the lovely little Jesse, who could already be seen at this year's events with his mama learning the ropes :) As the saying goes, "always start them young!"

We hope you enjoy watching the interview with Jodie Gray, as much as we enjoyed doing it!
